ANDREW WOLK — FOUNDER AND CEOWidely recognized as a leading social innovator and a pioneering teacher of social entrepreneurship, Andrew founded Root Cause in 2004 and continues to lead its overall strategic direction. He has consulted to dozens of organizations and recently authored the book Business Planning for Enduring Social Impact. Additionally, he wrote a chapter in the Small Business Administration’s annual report to the president of the United States on social entrepreneurship and government. Andrew designed and taught one of the first courses on social entrepreneurship in the country. Currently, he is a senior lecturer in social entrepreneurship at MIT, and he was recently appointed a Gleitsman Visiting Practitioner in Social Innovation at David Gergen’s Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University. MATT STANZLER — FELLOW, SOCIAL INNOVATION FORUMMatt joined Root Cause staff as a 2009 Fall Fellow, working primarily with Public Innovators and the Social Innovation Forum, and brings with him experience with state politics, campaigns, nonprofits, and start-up businesses. He has a particular interest in nonprofits that focus on education and youth development. A graduate of Tufts University, Matt holds a B.A. magna cum laude in History with a minor in Political Science. |

Previously he was an intern at Boston World Partnerships where he researched and analyzed social media. Before that, he was a strategy analyst at Merrill Lynch and worked at a start up hedge fund in New York. Art graduated from Dartmouth College in 2006 with majors in History and Engineering modified with Economics. |
